PRIVATE GEORGE D. FLYNN, of 18 South Sussex Street Gloucester City NJ, was drafted relatively early in the war. Assigned to the 22nd Infantry Regiment, 4th Armored Division, he landed in France on D-Day at Utah Beach. George D. Flynn was killed in action on D-Day plus 3, June 9th, 1944 in France. He is buried at Cambridge American cemetery, Cambridge, England. His death was reported in the August 24, 1944 edition of the Camden Courier-Post. |
