Private First Class, U.S. Army Missing in Action - Presumed Dead Died November 25, 1950 in Korea

Private First Class Hackney was a member of Company L, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously Wounded in Action by the enemy in South Korea on September 27, 1950 and returned to duty on November 4, 1950. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on November 25, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953.
Private First Class Hackney was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.
