Jim Bessing, who grew up on Howard Street and at South 7th and Division in the 1930s and 40s, and is very good friend of the website, passed along a stack of newspapers in December of 2004. Among the many articles and advertisements that were interesting, I thought it would be fun and informative to see what your real estate dollar would buy you 39 years ago!
For clarity, I "un-did" abbreviations, and removed the telephone numbers of the real estate agencies involved, most of which are long gone.
